GOLF

A masterpiece of legendary golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Dorada Beach Golf Course offers five holes with sea-views, including one directly adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. ECOLOGICAL PARKS

Puerto Plata’s crown jewel attraction offers a day of hiking through thick forest, slide down natural water slides carved out of the limestone and discover tropical plants and animals around the falls, observe manatees at the Estero Hondo Marine Mammal Sanctuary.

CITY EXPERIENCE

One of the most beautiful seafront boulevards in the DR, with multiple white sand beaches that line the city’s main avenue. Catch a breeze, get a sunset drink, or walk the Malecón’s length all the way to outdoor Grecian amphitheater, artistic events are occasionally held here, facing the Atlantic Ocean and Puntilla Park.

MARINA

The Luperón harbor is a large enclosed bay that provides excellent shelter for boaters. Protected by mangroves, safe zone for yachts. Inside the bay, enclosed Ocean World Marina complex features a host of entertainments day or night.

HISTORY

Archeological ruins including Christopher Columbus first home with the first church in the New World. Hike your way up on the only cable car in the Caribbean to reach Mount Isabel de Torres, with a statue of Christ the Redeemer–and standing 793 meters (2,600 feet).

SCUBA DIVING & FISHING

ART & CULTURE.

One of the oldest intellectual hubs and cultural institutions in Puerto Plata, with museums and an educational arts and crafts hub. Casa de Arte rotates paintings and sculpture exhibits. The most important colonial military structures in the Caribbean turned museum, built to defend the DR’s north coast from pirates.
